Official Rules for the TacoTime Canada “Win a Trip for two to Mexico” Giveaway (the “Official Rules”) 

PROMOTION PERIOD: The TacoTime Canada “Win a Trip for two to Mexico” Giveaway (the “Contest”) starts at 12:00:01 a.m. mountain standard time on April 9, 2025, and is shall end on 11:59:59 p.m. mountain standard time on June 29, 2025 (the “Contest Period”). The winner will be notified no later than July 3, 2025, and will have twenty-four (24) hours to claim their prize. The Promotion is NON-TRANSFERRABLE. There shall be NO CASH EQUIVALENT for the Promotion.  

ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open only to legal residents of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario and are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry. Entries submitted before or after the Contest Period will not be eligible. 

NON-ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS: The Contest is not open to employees, officers, and directors of MTY Food Group Inc. (the “Sponsor”), TacoTime Canada, its subsidiaries, affiliated companies, sales representatives, advertising and sales promotions agencies, contest administrators, webmasters/suppliers, and their immediate family members (spouse and children) or those living in the same household (related or not). The contest is subject to all applicable provincial, territorial, municipal, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited or restricted by law.  

AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES: By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to abide by the terms of the Official Rules and by the decisions of the sponsors and administrators, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to the Contest. Winning a prize is conditional upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. 

HOW TO ENTER: During the Contest Period, eligible entrants purchasing any combo meal with an upgrade beverage to JarritosTM  bottled drink (a minimum value of $8.79 excluding taxes and fees) through the TacoTime Canada app, online ordering for pick up, or in-store by visiting any participating TacoTime location across Canada (excluding delivery services) will receive one (1) scratch card for entry into the Contest (a “Contest Entry”). Each scratch card contains a unique six (6) digit number.  

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Eligible entrants must submit their contact information (full name, telephone number, email, complete mailing address, and age), the six (6) digit number and receipt number by completing the form on the Contest landing page (tacotimecanada.com/cancun). One (1) Contest Entry per scratch card. Contest Entries must be received during the Contest Period to be eligible. Orders made using reward offers or points redemptions can qualify for Contest Entries. Cancelled orders will not qualify for Contest Entries.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY ENTRY: To receive one (1) Contest Entry without a purchase, during the Contest Period, submit an original hand-written note, review, testimonial or picture (art/design) by mailing it to MTY Food Group Inc. / TacoTime Canada, Corner Court #3, Suite 170, 6223 2 Street SE, Calgary, Alberta, T2H 1J5. Attention: Marketing. The submission must include: (a) minimum of three (3) sentences describing “What you love about TacoTime” and (b) your first name, last name, telephone number, complete mailing address, and age.  By submitting your Contest Entry, you grant MTY Food Group Inc., TacoTime Canada, its subsidiaries, affiliated companies, sales representatives, advertising and sales promotions agencies, contest administrators, and webmasters/suppliers, the right to use your Contest Entry, including any text or content submitted, in our marketing campaigns across various platforms at our discretion. Your participation signifies your agreement to this use, helping MTY Food Group Inc. to share and celebrate our community’s engagement. Limited one (1) non-purchase Contest Entry per day. 

The Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered, or associated with Facebook, Instagram or TikTok. Any questions, comments, or complaints regarding the Contest will be directed to the Sponsor.

ENTRY LIMIT: Limit one (1) Contest Entry per day, per eligible purchase or non-purchase entry. All entries are subject to verification. The Sponsor has the exclusive right to demand proof of identity and eligibility from any participant at any time, in the form specified by the Sponsor. If a participant fails to provide satisfactory proof of identity and eligibility as determined by the Sponsor, within the timeframe required, they may be disqualified from the contest. 

PRIZE DETAILS AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Grand prize includes round-trip economy airfare for two (2) guests, seven (7) days stay in Cancun, Mexico and ground transportation from Cancun International Airport (CUN) to hotel and return-trip back to Cancun International Airport (CUN) (the “Grand Prize”).  All taxes are included. Prize value estimated to be $6,000.00CAD. No cash or other substitution is allowed except by the Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute the Prize with another of comparable or greater value. Prize is non-transferable. Must book travel dates by December 31, 2025. 

Incidental expenses and all other costs and expenses not explicitly listed as part of the Price in the Official Rules and which may be associated with the award, acceptance, receipt, and use of all or any portion of the Grand Prize are solely the responsibility of the Winner. 

WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: One (1) winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible Contest Entries received (the “Winner”). The drawing will be conducted by the Administrator, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest. The Winner will be notified by email or phone and must meet all eligibility requirements, including the execution and return of all necessary releases and documents (if any) specified by the Sponsor. The Winner will have twenty-four (24) hours to claim the Prize. If the Winner does not claim the Prize, the Administrator will select another Winner. 

ODDS OF WINNING: The odds of winning the Grand Prize depends on the total number of eligible entries received throughout the Full Contest Period. A total of two hundred thousand (200,000) scratch cards will be distributed across the below-mentioned provinces based on the number of TacoTime locations per province. 

HOW TO CLAIM THE GRAND PRIZE: To claim the Grand Prize, the winner must: 

1. Answer a Skill-Testing Question: Correctly solve a mathematical skill-testing question during a phone call. 

2. Complete and Sign a Declaration and Release Form: This form must: 

 
The Winner can submit the completed Declaration and Release Form to MTY Food Group Inc./TacoTime Canada Corner by electronic mail. Once the Sponsor receives your completed Declaration and Release Form in accordance with the contest rules, the Sponsor or its designated representative will contact you to confirm your status as the Winner and provide further instructions on how to proceed. 

If the eligible winning entrant: (i) does not correctly answer the skill-testing question; (ii) does not return the properly executed promotion documents within the specified timeframe; or (iii) is unable to accept the Grand Prize for any reason, he/she will forfeit the Grand Prize, and it will not be awarded. The claim for the Grand Prize is subject to verification by the Sponsor and will be considered invalid if it is illegible, forged, falsified, damaged, incomplete, altered, or tampered with in any way, or does not meet the conditions outlined in these Rules. Please note that blackout dates may apply. 

RELEASES: Each eligible entrant in this Promotion, agrees to absolve and release the Releasees from any responsibility for any possible damages, losses, or injuries that may arise, directly or indirectly, from: 1) the receipt, use, or misuse of any prize awarded in this contest; or 2) participation in the Promotion itself. Each participant releases and holds harmless the Releasees from any loss, harm, damage, cost, fee or expense arising directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, as a result of: 

a) their participation in the Contest; 

b) their acceptance, non-acceptance, possession, use, non-use or misuse of the Grand Prize; 

c) the collection, use and disclosure of personal information; 

d) late, lost or undeliverable email; 

e) injury or damage to persons or property; and 

f) late, lost, misdirected, unreadable or incomplete email Contest Entries. 

DISPUTE RESOLUTION: Eligible entrants agree that any disputes or claims related to this Contest or any prizes awarded will be governed under provincial laws and resolved individually, not through court proceedings. Reimbursements are limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred from participating in this Contest, excluding any legal fees or additional expenses. Participants also relinquish any rights to seek punitive, incidental, consequential, or multiplied damages.iib
